Schedule

• 19-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Patient ratio: 7 patients per nurse
• Weekend patient ratio: 7 patients per nurse

Responsibilities & Skills

• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• Feeding tube care and management
• Heparin Protocols
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• IV insulin protocols
• Management of dysrhythmias
• MS/Tele monitoring
• Nasal Cannula and Oxygen administration
• PCA (Patient-Controlled Analgesia)
• Peripheral Line Care/Management
• PICC line management
• Renal failure care
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Surgical drains management
• Telemetry (on-unit and remote monitoring)
• Tracheostomy care/management
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Wound Care/Wound Vac

Requirements

• 1 year of experience
• BLS certification
• VA License or Compact License (Quick License State: application process takes 2 weeks or less)
• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred
