Travel MRI Technologist - $3,075 per week

Reliant Staffing Partners is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in New Lenox, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients of all ages.
• Performs assigned supervisory functions.
• Maintains the standards of ARRT.
• Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adheres to the 7 customer service behaviors.
• Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with the radiologists as necessary.
• Preps patient for exam. Explains procedure and provides education and instruction to patient as appropriate.
• Adheres to MRI safety standards.
• Performs all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies and administration of contrast media utilizing age related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures according to department policy and procedure.
• Aids radiologist with MR procedures as requested.
• Evaluates MRI images for technical quality.
• Operates and maintains MRI and associated equipment and supplies. Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check.
• Operates hospital computer system. Reports to supervisor any equipment malfunctions.
• Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for appropriate quality control.

Requirements

• 1 year of recent GE MRI experience - [REQUIRED]
• BLS - [REQUIRED]
• ARRT Certification - [REQUIRED] (Will not consider AMRIT)

Pay and Benefits

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
