About the role
The Behavioral Health Therapist provides assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and therapeutic support to patients experiencing mental health, emotional, behavioral, or substance use concerns. This role works as part of an interdisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive behavioral health services. The Behavioral Health Therapist may provide individual, group, and family therapy in an outpatient, inpatient, emergency, school-based, or integrated care setting. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, supporting continuity of care, and helping patients develop coping skills, treatment goals, and plans for ongoing support.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavioral health assessments, counseling, and therapy services
- Conduct crisis intervention and develop treatment plans
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records
- Support continuity of care and patient goal-setting
- Assess safety risks and respond appropriately to crisis situations
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
- Adhere to HIPAA requirements and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a behavioral health professional (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Experience providing behavioral health assessments, counseling, or therapy services
- Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and therapeutic techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Basic computer skills and ability to document in an electronic health record
- Current, valid, and active driver’s license
- Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
Certifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a behavioral health professional (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- BLS certification from a Vibra Travels’ approved vendor

Pay
Competitive hourly rate in addition to tax-free stipend (if applicable). Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
