Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,975 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS/Tele) registered nurse position located in Anchorage, Alaska at a Magnet-designated facility with Level II Trauma designation. This role utilizes a co-care/virtual nursing model and offers flexibility with shift choices in a dynamic patient care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cancer, lung, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder.
• Participate in a co-care/virtual nurse model with bedside RN, virtual RN, and CNA team members.
• Assist with patient admission, discharge education, care plans, and follow-up communications.
• Float within scope to like units as needed.

Requirements

• BLS certification.
• Valid AK (Alaska) RN license in hand or pending application with ability to complete license within 48 hours of signing.
• At least 1 year of experience in Med Surg / Telemetry.
• Willingness to work scheduled holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
• Must be located at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Candidates must include responses to prior employment at Providence facilities and provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years.

Schedule

• Night shift, 12-hour shifts.
• Minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting 09/21/2026.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
