About the role

Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position located in Medford, Oregon. This role involves providing quality care to general medical patients, including those with diagnoses such as pneumonia, CHF, DM, electrolyte imbalances, infectious diseases, and psychiatric conditions. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications including titratable and set rate drips such as heparin and amiodarone
• Monitor telemetry strips and recognize lethal rhythms
• Collaborate with charge nurse and support staff
• Float within skill set to other medical units or ICU as needed
• Support high standards of teamwork and patient safety

Requirements

• Valid BLS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical with Telemetry
• Ability to read electrocardiogram strips
• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Preferred candidates with experience in:
  • De-escalation techniques
  • Chest tubes
  • Heparin drips
  • NG tubes/feeding tubes
• Must comply with care bundles and maintain professional appearance with scrub dress code
• Exhibit excellent teamwork and communication skills
