Medical Surgical Telemetry Nurse located in a healthcare organization. This position involves providing patient care in a medical-surgical setting with telemetry monitoring. The role requires adaptability to rotating shifts and supporting a variety of inpatient units, focusing on quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
The position supports a float pool covering 15 medical-surgical units with varying patient ratios. Travel nurses work in 2-3 week assignments, with some weeks scheduled with limited notice. No blocked scheduling or specific days off are guaranteed; requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The work environment involves managing ventilators (by RT or RN), performing 12-lead EKGs, lasix infusions, blood transfusions, telemetry monitoring, and other unit-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Current CPR provider (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Basic computer skills
- Epic electronic medical record experience
- Level I trauma experience required
- Orientation scheduled weekly on Mondays
- Flexibility to provide availability for interviews
- Any color scrubs accepted
