About the role
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) for a healthcare facility located in Bel Air, Maryland. This position involves providing patient care primarily to adult and geriatric populations, with a focus on telemetry monitoring and general medical-surgical nursing duties. The RN will work scheduled day shifts and contribute to a collaborative team environment, supporting patient needs efficiently and safely.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts, days
- 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to adult and geriatric populations with telemetry monitoring and general medical-surgical duties
- Manage blood products, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tubes, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation, and oxygen therapy
- Chart using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Float within scope and lower acuity as needed
- Adhere to unit policies regarding scheduling, RTO, and holiday coverage
Requirements
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license
- BLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- CPI certification
- 0 years of minimum experience
- Located in the United States
- Competency in managing blood products, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tubes, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation, and oxygen therapy
Additional Information
- Patient ratios are 5:5:5 on days, nights, and weekends respectively
- Unit caters to adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of approximately 35 patients
- 2 years of experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
