This role involves providing high-quality patient care on a 29-bed unit specializing in cardiac and post-procedure recovery. The nurse will work 12-hour day shifts, with a minimum weekly commitment of 36 hours. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic unit, focusing on cardiac patient management and telemetry monitoring. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; current RN license; at least 2 years of recent clinical experience; ACLS and BLS certifications required; experience with cardiac patients, telemetry, and titrating drips (such as Heparin, insulin, NC, etc.) is essential Common diagnoses/types of patients: Cardiac patients, post-cardiac catheterization, acute myocardial infarction (AMI), post-operative lung surgeries after out of coronary care unit (CCU), respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, post-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), no sheaths, no arterial lines Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry interpretation, ability to titrate cardiac and other drips, familiarity with EPIC charting system Float: Float rotation may be required to other Med/Surg or Telemetry units as needed Additional Information: RN's must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips; RN or RT manages respiratory equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP; Telemetry monitors are Philips brand; nurses work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation; holiday work is scheduled with permanent staff; call or standby may be required occasionally; nurses are expected to adhere to hospital dress code with designated scrub colors for different roles; orientation includes several shifts with a preceptor Benefits The benefits of taking a travel assignment with Cross Country include: Private housing or generous housing allowance Comprehensive health insurance with prescription coverage Dependent health insurance with prescription coverage Competitive salaries Referral bonuses Travel reimbursement 401(k) retirement plan Direct deposit/free checking Unlimited free CE credits Cross Country Job ID #1318303.
