About the role

The Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is located in the acute care setting. This role involves providing high-quality patient care on a 29-bed unit specializing in cardiac and post-procedure recovery. The nurse will work 12-hour day shifts, with a minimum weekly commitment of 36 hours. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic unit, focusing on cardiac patient management and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care on a 29-bed unit specializing in cardiac and post-procedure recovery.
• Manage cardiac patient care and telemetry monitoring.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Manage respiratory equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP.
• Collaborate within a dynamic unit.
• Work 12-hour day shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Participate in every other weekend and holiday rotation; call or standby as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; current RN license; at least 2 years of recent clinical experience; ACLS and BLS certifications required; experience with cardiac patients, telemetry, and titrating drips (such as Heparin, insulin, NC, etc.) is essential.

Qualifications

Experience with telemetry interpretation; ability to titrate cardiac and other drips; familiarity with EPIC charting system.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Nurses work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation; holiday work is scheduled with permanent staff; call or standby may be required occasionally.
