About the role

The Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position in Tucson, Arizona provides patient care on 12-hour night shifts. The role requires critical thinking and clinical judgment within the guidelines of the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN will demonstrate leadership skills, support clinical competencies through ongoing education, supervise assigned staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care. This 13-week travel assignment requires flexibility to float between multiple facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
• Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and supervise assigned staff.
• Support ongoing clinical education and competencies.
• Float between Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita as required.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, in various clinical environments.

Requirements

• Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Two or more years of relevant nursing experience.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and a flexible schedule.

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).
• Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Duration: 13 weeks.
