Travel Medical Surgical Telemetry RN - $2,055 per week
About the role
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS Telemetry) nurse position located at an acute care facility. This role involves providing specialized care for patients with various medical and cardiac diagnoses, including post-operative and post-cardiac catheterization patients. The position requires a focus on telemetry monitoring, titration of drips like Heparin and Amiodarone, and collaboration with charge nurses and assistive staff during night shifts. Patient ratios are 1:6 (may increase based on staffing and acuity, with CNA support 1:8‑12). Common diagnoses include post‑op CABG, chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF, renal failure, pneumonia, COPD, psych‑suicidal ideation, altered mental status, wound care, dialysis, and others.
Responsibilities
- Titrate drips such as Heparin and Amiodarone while interpreting EKG strips
- Read and interpret telemetry strips
- Collaborate with charge nurse
- Participate in unit orientation and documentation in EPIC
Requirements
Required qualifications:
- Valid RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care inpatient hospital experience
- At least 3 years of ICU experience (for ICU units)
- Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications
- NIHSS certification
- Recent EPIC electronic health record experience within the last year
- Telemetry experience required
Preferred qualifications:
- Teaching facility experience highly preferred

Schedule
Shift: Nights, 12‑hour shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule: Self‑scheduling with balancing by manager; initial schedule may not be self‑scheduled.
Minimum hours per week: 36 hours
