Job Summary

Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Nights. The organization is seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Nurse for a night shift position. This role involves providing patient care on an acute care unit with a diverse patient population, including those with diagnoses such as sepsis, CHF, pulmonary embolisms, and post-procedural care. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment committed to quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on an acute care medical-surgical unit
• Care for patients with diagnoses including GI bleeds, sepsis, cellulitis, CHF, COVID, osteomyelitis, DVT, pulmonary embolisms, and other medical conditions
• Titrate heparin drips and read telemetry strips
• Receive two shifts of orientation
• Float to other medical-surgical units as required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant medical surgical nursing experience
• BLS Certification
• Last four digits of SSN required for submission
• Confirmation of application process for Illinois licensure
• Understanding of drug-free campus policy required for submission

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 15 weeks
