Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,235 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Med Surg position at Aspirus Iron River in Iron River, Michigan. 13‑week contract starting 11/09/2026 and ending 02/06/2027. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m.). Travel employment type; candidates must reside outside a 50‑mile radius of the facility. Provide general nursing care on a 25‑bed Med/Surg unit primarily serving geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care focused on geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes.
• Perform charting, patient monitoring, and medication management.
• Collaborate within the 25‑bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4, 1:5 (days) and 1:6 (nights).
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed within competency.
• Work every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan RN license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2+ years Med/Surg experience
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing

Qualifications

• Emergency Department experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

• Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record

• Proficiency with Pyxis pharmacy system
