The healthcare professional position in the Medical Surgical Floor specialty is based in a facility located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour days, weekends and holidays as scheduled, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a medical or surgical environment
- Active license to practice in West Virginia
- Able to work day shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Total Joint Replacement experience
- Experience with fractures
- Strong orthopedic background
- Experience working in an acute care setting
Additional Information
- Must have total joint replacement experience and not just fractures
- Unit 7 Northeast Ortho/Tele Beds with 22 beds; patient ratios 1:5-6
- RNs do not titrate drips but may set rate drips
- Tele/Monitor Techs on the unit
- RNs are not required to read strips
- Charge nurse/house supervisor available 24/7
- 3 CNAs per shift with patient ratios of 1:7-8
- As needed RT/equipment including Cpap, Bipap, high flow
- The unit employs a 1-2 shift orientation period
- The career involves working into the holiday rotation
- Charting is done using the EPIC system

Pay package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
