Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves providing high-quality care to post-operative burn and flap patients within a busy acute care hospital setting. The unit emphasizes teamwork, has access to new equipment and technology, and offers a competitive environment with experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to post-operative burn and flap patients
• Perform wound and dressing care utilizing advanced equipment such as wound vacuums and PCA pumps
• Support a collaborative healthcare team in a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio setting

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing
• At least 1 year of acute care hospital Med/Surg experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current licensure to practice in Colorado

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with burn care, wound care, and ostomy care
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Unit Information

• Number of beds: 18-20
• Staff: 35 team members including charge nurses, RNs, LPNs, and PCTs
• Patient Ratio: 6:1 with LPNs
• Equipment: Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacuums, PCA pumps
• EMR System: Meditech
• Typical Procedures: Wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
