Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $1,935 per week

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse (RN) position located in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing direct patient care in a busy medical-surgical environment, with an emphasis on managing complex patient needs, utilizing clinical skills, and adhering to hospital protocols. The position offers an opportunity to work in a Magnet and Teaching Hospital setting with a patient census of approximately 18 adult patients daily.

Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state license (MO or compact license)
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• 21+ years of experience
• 1+ year of recent Medical Surgical Floor experience in a Level I or teaching facility
• Proficiency with electronic charting in EPIC

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of general nursing experience
• Experience with drains, monitoring postoperative flaps, tracheostomy and total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and central line management
• Prior experience in ENT or plastic surgery units

Additional Information

• Flexibility within scope to meet facility needs, including floating within the service line
• Candidates must be eligible for license in the applicable state and comply with all orientation and compliance requirements, including modules and fit testing
• Assignment scheduled to start within 3-4 weeks from offer
• Guaranteed minimum of 3 shifts every 13 weeks
• No more than 7 days of time off permitted during the assignment
• No local candidates within a 75-mile radius will be considered; all travelers must meet the out-of-area requirement
• Facility is a Magnet and Level I Trauma Center with approximately 1,266 staffed beds, offering a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment
