Travel Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation Floor RN - $2,270 per week

Job Summary

A Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse is needed in Windsor, Vermont. This position involves coordinating comprehensive nursing care for patients recovering from surgery, serious illness, or injury, with a focus on restoring function and independence through therapies and specialized medical and nursing management. The role supports patient and family education and may require serving as a backup Charge Nurse in a supportive clinical environment.

Job Details

• Shift: Night shifts (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Nights, minimum 36 hours per week
• Beginning: 08/03/2026

Required Qualifications

• Vermont or Compact State RN license
• Certified in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• 2 years recent Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
• Prior travel experience of at least 3 months
• Ability to float to other units within scope of practice
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med Surg Rehab experience
• Candidate must possess own vehicle due to community transportation limitations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Recent travel experience of at least 3 months

Additional Information

• Nurse to patient ratio: 1 to 4/5
• Average daily patient census: 22
• May be asked to serve as a backup Charge Nurse and coordinate care across units
• Work history and skills checklist pertinent to medical-surgical nursing, current within 1 year
• Supervisory reference from within the past two years required
