Travel Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation Floor RN - $1,930 per week

About the role

Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse (MS REHAB) located in Carlsbad. This position involves providing general rehabilitation nursing care in collaboration with therapy, evaluating assigned patients, and assisting physicians during examinations and procedures. The role requires fostering patient independence through education, medication management, and self-care skills.

Responsibilities

• General rehab nursing duties in collaboration with therapy.
• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care.
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promotes patient independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Requirements

• BLS required; ACLS & PALS preferred.
• Associate's degree and RN certification.
• Minimum 1+ years of experience.

Schedule

Days shift, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
