Travel Medical Lab Technician - $1,810 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician for a 15-week travel assignment in Oshkosh, Nebraska.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing routine and moderately complex laboratory tests across multiple diagnostic areas, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and toxicology.
• Analyzes body fluids and specimens, ensuring the accuracy of test results.
• Maintains laboratory equipment and follows quality control protocols.
• Supports the investigation of transfusion reactions by collecting and preparing necessary samples.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments, performs troubleshooting within scope, and escalates issues as needed.
• Communicates test results clearly and professionally to other healthcare professionals.
• Maintains detailed and accurate records of test results, calibrations, and quality control measures.
• Aids in inventory management, reagent preparation, and stocking lab supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Valid license when needed in compliance with any state regulations.
• National certification through ASCP or equivalent such as AMT, AAB, HEW certifications.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend.
• Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
• Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
