About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13-week assignment starting August 17, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in a Med Surg / Telemetry unit.
- Assess patient needs and develop treatment plans accordingly.
- Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Rhode Island.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in Med Surg / Telemetry preferred.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Skills
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR).
- Knowledge of telemetry monitoring systems.

Pay
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
