Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN - $2,136 per week

About the role

We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Florence, SC. The right RN should have 1–2 years recent acute care experience. This is a 13‑week travel assignment working 48 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• 2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Able to easily lift 20 pounds
• Patient moving/lifting may require lifting up to 50 pounds at times
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
