About the role
We are seeking a Med Surg RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac telemetry
- Administer medications and document care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians
- Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Manage multiple patients efficiently and prioritize care based on acuity
- Facilitate discharge planning and advocate for patient needs
Requirements
- Recent Med Surg RN experience with a valid license
- Current BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS preferred
- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move and assist with equipment, excellent visual acuity, and the capacity to work under pressure
