Travel Med Surg RN

About the role

A qualified Med Surg RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, including assessing patient conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry, administering medications, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document patient information
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Manage multiple patients, prioritize care, and facilitate discharge planning
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Recent Med Surg RN experience (minimum one year)
• Valid RN license and current BLS certification
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Physical ability to perform nursing duties, including moving equipment and assisting patients
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment
