About the role
A travel assignment for a Med Surg RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac telemetry
- Administer medications and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Explain procedures to patients and families
- Perform comprehensive assessments and document findings
- Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist during treatments
- Maintain a safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Coordinate discharge planning and advocate for patient needs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver personalized care
Requirements
- At least one year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license according to state regulations
- Current BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS certification
- ACLS certification
Skills
- Critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and PC use
- Physical ability to move and assist with equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and handle irregular schedules
