About the role
A Med Surg RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and manage treatments
- Administer medications, prepare patients for procedures, and assist physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and maintain accurate documentation
- Support discharge planning and advocate for patient needs
Requirements
- One year of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Valid RN license per state regulations
- Current BLS certification

- Critical thinking, strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and equipment
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to irregular activity schedules
