About the Role
A Med Surg Registered Nurse will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac telemetry data
- Administer medications and treatments following nursing standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Explain procedures to patients and families, ensuring understanding
- Document patient information accurately and maintain safety protocols
- Facilitate discharge planning and advocate for patient needs
- Manage multiple patients efficiently based on acuity
Requirements
- Recent Med Surg RN experience with a valid RN license
- Current BLS certification; NIHSS and ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform necessary duties and work effectively with a team
- Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions, and maintain professionalism
