Travel Med Surg RN - $2,289 per week

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Medford, Wisconsin.

Unit overview

• 20 bed unit; typical census is 8-10
• ICU and Med Surg are a shared unit – ICU has 3 beds
• 25 bed critical access hospital
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5 on Days/Evenings and 1:6-7 on Evenings/Nights

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years experience
• ED or ICU experience very helpful
• Must be able to read tele strips
• Required certifications: WI RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Epic charting experience preferred

Schedule

• 13-week duration
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour variable (rotating) shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours (on-call pay provided)

Float requirements

• Occasional need to float to other departments to help out (will not take patient load; tasks like vital checks)
• May float to other Aspirus locations: Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade

Scrubs

Any scrubs allowed; must be clean and work-appropriate.
