About the role
The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individualized patient care using the nursing process. This role involves direct responsibility for co-worker direction and delegation of appropriate tasks in the implementation of care, adhering to established policies and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
- Provide quality care based on patient assessment needs and established care plans.
- Educate patients and families from admission through discharge.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible documentation of nursing processes.
- Notify physicians of significant observations and changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely.
- Implement physician orders as per the established plan of care.
- Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care and report any malfunctions.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
- Valid RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
- CPR certification required.
- Previous nursing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise critical thinking.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.
- 36 hours per week for 13 weeks.
