About the Role

AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. This position places you in a 521-bed community hospital offering a wide range of medical services, located in the scenic Roanoke Valley just 5 miles from downtown Roanoke.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care in a travel assignment setting
• Work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Utilize Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Deliver patient care in a community hospital environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state
• 2 years of medical-surgical experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Social Security Number required
• Date of Birth required
• Work history should not have more than 90 days of gap in the last year
• Must pass ECG testing during onboarding

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong patient care skills

Pay

• Pay rate: $1902.00 - $2000.00
• Pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
