Travel Med Surg RN - $1,820 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in New Braunfels, Texas. The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. This role involves providing routine and complex care while managing contingencies in clinical nursing, and is responsible for making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given accurately.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification (AHA only).
• Valid RN License in the state of Texas or Compact state.

Schedule

• Shift: 12‑hour nights (7 PM – 7 AM).
• 36 hours per week.
• Duration: 13‑week contract.
• Start Date: November 1, 2026.
