Travel Med Surg Oncology RN - $1,992 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology (Medical/Surgical MedSurg RN) for a 13‑week travel assignment in Wheeling, West Virginia. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts, travel employment type. Job ID #1514059.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving/lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• NIH certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience (1‑2 years recent acute care experience)
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Duration: 13 weeks; 36 hours per week; 12‑hour day shifts.
