Responsibilities
- Provide daily Defense Travel System (DTS) support for all travel requirements.
- Perform travel management support through a Help Desk.
- Track and support the entire lifecycle of a trip in DTS.
- Prepare and review travel authorizations, vouchers, and local vouchers.
- Review and recommend vouchers for payment. Monitor payment of authorizations and vouchers. Ensure all payment/funding discrepancies are resolved.
- Perform weekly audits of travel obligations, expenditures, and un-submitted vouchers and provide weekly reports.
- Review and audit DTS entries to ensure DTS is used properly by staff.
- Provide support to staff on the use of Government Travel Charge Cards, including briefing personnel on the proper use.
- Provide written updates on travel expenditures and travel frequency.
Qualifications

- Working knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS).
- Understanding of Defense Joint Travel Regulations.
- Familiarity with travel authorization, voucher processing, and travel documentation requirements.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple travel requests and prioritize tasks.
Education and/or Experience
- BA/BS degree and 5 years of experience providing travel management support.
- AA/AS degree accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 5 years of experience performing the duties described in the duties and responsibilities of this position.
- GED/Diploma accepted in lieu of BA/BS with accompanying 10 years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with DTS and Defense Joint Travel Regulations, and Department of Defense Financial Management Regulations as they relate to travel.
