Travel Long Term Care RN

About the Role

A Long Term Care RN provides skilled nursing care in a facility setting, ensuring high-quality resident outcomes through assessment, care planning, and coordination with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and monitor resident health status
  • Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately
  • Supervise and support nursing staff
  • Educate residents and families on health management
  • Document all care activities and health changes
  • Respond to emergencies and collaborate with healthcare professionals
  • Perform procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year recent Long Term Care RN experience
  • Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
  • Preferred certifications: ACLS
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to move equipment and assist residents
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC systems
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain concentration, and handle sensory and motor tasks
