About the Role
A Long Term Care RN provides skilled nursing care in a facility setting, ensuring high-quality resident outcomes through assessment, care planning, and coordination with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor resident health status
- Develop, update, and implement personalized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately
- Supervise and support nursing staff
- Educate residents and families on health management
- Document all care activities and health changes
- Respond to emergencies and collaborate with healthcare professionals
- Perform procedures such as wound care and IV therapy
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Minimum of one year recent Long Term Care RN experience
- Valid RN license and current BLS/CPR certification
- Preferred certifications: ACLS
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist residents
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC systems
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain concentration, and handle sensory and motor tasks
