About the role
Long Term Care Nursing Professional in a 70-bed nursing home attached to a hospital, specializing in post-acute care for predominantly elderly residents with diagnoses such as dementia, frailty, and rehabilitation needs. The role emphasizes clinical skills including charting, assessments, medication administration, and procedures such as IV management, catheters, and ostomies.
The unit operates with a team including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and various interdisciplinary team members such as therapy, social workers, and dietary staff. RN staff are responsible for assessments, charting, and participating in team conferences. On-site pharmacy and telemetry monitors are available (not read by RNs). Float rotation may be required, and all clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts from 08/31/2026 through 10/26/2026
- Every other weekend and holiday availability required
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a post-acute care setting
- Perform clinical assessments and charting
- Administer medications and manage procedures including IV insertions, catheter placements, and ostomy care
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- At least 1 year of clinical experience
- Local residency within 80 miles of the facility

- Elderly care experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced post-acute environment
- Competency in clinical procedures such as IV insertions, catheter placements, and ostomy management
