Role and Responsibilities

• Provide social services in a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Assess patient needs and develop appropriate care plans
• Offer counseling and emotional support to patients and families
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
• Comply with licensing, certification, and safety requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid active LCSW license in the practicing state
• One or more years of experience as an LCSW
• CPR certification (may be required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
