About the role

Travel RN Level 2B Nursery position with rotating shifts (7 a.m.–7 p.m., 11 a.m.–11 p.m., 7 p.m.–7 a.m.) and every-other-weekend schedule, including one night of call. No floating required.

Unit Details

• 25-bed Level 2B Special Care Nursery encompassing Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, 2 ORs, 2 Antepartum/Neonatal Unit rooms, and Recovery Room
• Clinician-to-patient ratios: L&D 1:2–3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drips, or epidurals; Postpartum 1:3–4
• Patient population: all ages
• Bed count: 5 L&D rooms, 12 postpartum beds, 2 ORs in Recovery Room, 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds total
• Average daily census: 15–25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
• EMR/Charting system: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care in the Special Care Nursery and Newborn Nursery
• Rotate through day, evening, and night shifts as scheduled
• Take one night of call per schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in one location and 2 years as a traveler
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Certifications: AHA BLS and NRP
