Responsibilities
- Perform basic phlebotomy on all patients/residents per department policies
- Conduct accurate laboratory testing across assigned areas, following department procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation; perform quality control and ensure proper specimen handling
- Document test results in the Cerner system and communicate critical values per policy
- Ensure proper specimen labeling, tracking, and transport; maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely turnaround times and uphold quality patient care
Requirements
- Active Montana license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Certification with ASCP or AMT
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience, including blood bank, microbiology, and phlebotomy; Cerner experience required
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and work in a hospital laboratory environment; Day shift with 12-hour duties and 7-on/7-off rotation
