Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in obstetrics and maternal care is needed at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. The position involves providing comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods. The role supports a family-centered environment in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit setting, with a focus on compassionate patient and family support.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide care during labor, delivery, and recovery
  • Support new mothers and families
  • Utilize Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit resources
  • Follow unit policies and guidelines
  • Work with advanced equipment including LDRP and fetal monitoring systems

Required Qualifications

  • Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • No specific experience requirement other than 0 years minimum
  • Location in Wichita, Kansas

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of obstetrics experience
  • Strong skills in care and management of inductions, labor, delivery, recovery, and cesarean sections
  • Excellent team player with flexible, compassionate personality
  • Experience with well newborn care and fetal monitoring systems

Schedule

Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week. Duration: 6 weeks. Start Date: 07/27/2026.
