Job Summary

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) role located in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves caring for patients in a high-risk obstetric unit, performing a variety of clinical responsibilities related to labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The role is suitable for candidates with at least one year of experience and current licensure, offering an opportunity to work in a Level II trauma, magnet-designated facility with a focus on high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Alaska Registered Nurse license (must be in hand for auto offer)
  • BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications
  • NRPN
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in labor and delivery
  • Clinical charting experience in Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • Charge experience or willingness to train as charge nurse
  • Prior experience with high-risk obstetric patients
  • Insertion and management of intrauterine pressure catheters
  • Management of postpartum hemorrhage
  • High-risk delivery support

Unit Information

  • High-risk obstetric unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 labor/delivery rooms, 3 operating room suites, and 4 PACU rooms.
  • An average of 7 daily deliveries, including inductions and high-risk cases.

Pay Package
