Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,810 per week

About the role

Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position based at a high-volume, high-acuity facility with a diverse patient population, including high-risk obstetric patients; patient census averages 45 daily. The role involves providing specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods, following established clinical protocols and safety procedures. Assignment length options are 13 or 26 weeks (traveler's choice).

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Follow established clinical protocols and safety procedures.
• Manage high-risk obstetric patients, including magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, Foley catheter management, postpartum hemorrhage, and vaginal delivery procedures.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system.
• Handle high census surge and manage a 4‑couplet workload.
• Float between nearby sister facilities as assigned.
• Work 3 out of 5 holidays as scheduled.

Requirements

• Current RN license (compact state license in hand at submission).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Minimum 2 years of high‑acuity obstetric care experience.
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Foley catheter management, postpartum hemorrhage, and vaginal delivery procedures.
• Mandatory experience with EPIC EHR system.
• References required covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
• COVID‑19 vaccination not required; flu vaccine status unknown.
• Must include responses to specific screening questions regarding prior employment at Providence facilities.
