Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,350 per week

About the role

Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) for a seasonal travel assignment in the Denver metropolitan area. This role involves providing specialized care for laboring women, delivering newborns, and managing postpartum and high-risk antepartum patients in a busy maternity unit. The position requires a compassionate and adaptable healthcare professional to ensure high-quality patient care during a critical and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for laboring women and deliver newborns
• Manage postpartum and high-risk antepartum patients
• Operate modern equipment including fetal heart rate monitors (Novii and GE), fetal scalp electrodes (FSE)
• Use Meditech and CPN electronic medical records systems
• Support labor, delivery, postpartum, and high-risk antepartum patients through comprehensive nursing care workflows

Requirements

• Valid license as a registered nurse (RN)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN (Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification
• A minimum of 1 year of recent acute care hospital experience in labor and delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Mom/Baby experience
• Peds experience
• Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience

Work Environment

• Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Team typically consists of 8-10 staff members for night shifts
• Patient ratios of approximately 2:1, and 1:1 for complicated cases
• Unit features modern equipment and utilizes procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries
