About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is sought for a facility located in Lebanon, Kentucky. This position involves providing comprehensive obstetric, gynecological, and neonatal care during night shifts. The RN will serve a diverse patient population in a 9-bed obstetrics unit, ensuring quality care aligned with clinical standards and patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Labor and Delivery nurse during nights, demonstrating independence in patient care.
• Float to other units during high volume or low census periods on Labor and Delivery.

Requirements

• RN licensure and certification in BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and STABLE.
• 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Located in Kentucky or willing to commute.
• Current certifications must be obtained prior to start date.

Qualifications

Required

• RN licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience.

Preferred

• Post-partum experience.
• Level 1 Newborn nursery experience.

• Facility Department/Cost Center: 471466001 - Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Number of Beds: 9.
• Patient Ratios: per AWHONN staffing standards.
• EHR Systems: Meditech and Centricity.
• Dress code: Professional scrubs in any color; avoid casual wear, T-shirts without nursing themes, and blue jeans.

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights.
• Hours: 36 hours per week minimum.
