About the role
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position at a regional medical center in Somerset, Kentucky. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a trauma-level postpartum unit, focusing on new mothers and their babies. The unit handles up to 22 beds with a patient ratio of up to 1:6, emphasizing a compassionate approach tailored to new mothers and their infants. Personalities suited to a fast-paced, nurturing environment are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care on a postpartum unit for new mothers and their babies
Requirements
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- At least 2 years of nursing experience
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Location in Kentucky or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in postpartum or Mother/Baby units
- Familiarity with Meditech or GE Centricity electronic health records
- Strong clinical skills in postpartum care
- Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team
