Pay
$2,831 – $3,024 weekly (includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements)
Responsibilities & Skills
- Administration of blood & blood products
- Antihypertensives, antiseizure, and opioid medications
- APGAR scoring and newborn assessment
- Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, including forceps/vacuum extraction
- Assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
- Asthma, diabetes mellitus, and COVID management
- Bladder distension and fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Breastfeeding support and use of electric/manual breast pumps
- Cesarean section (circulate and recover)
- Collect cord samples and cord care
- Couplet care and discharge teaching to parents
- Drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
- Epidural anesthesia and general anesthesia
- Episiotomy/incisional care and wound assessment
- External and internal fetal monitoring (EFM, IUPC placement/calibration)
- Facility births: 100–200 per month
- HELLP syndrome, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- ID/security banding and infant identification
- Infant/neonatal arrest and neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
- Isolation precautions/PPE and infectious disease protocols
- Low-risk and multiple-gestation deliveries
- Magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips
- Malpresentations (breech/face/brow) and preterm labor
- Metabolic screen and newborn hypoglycemia
- NST (Non-Stress Tests) and amnioinfusion
- Pain assessment & management
- Phototherapy and thermoregulation (radiant warmers)
- Pitocin (oxytocin) and prostaglandins
- Placenta previa/abruptio and postpartum hemorrhage
- Postpartum hemorrhage and uterine rupture
- Rapid Response/Code team activation
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Reflex checks, edema assessment, and clonus
- RH incompatibilities and vaccine administration
- Seizure disorder and substance abuse management
- Teach circumcision care and baby-friendly protocols
- Terbutaline administration
- Use of infusion pumps/drips/IV monitoring
- Vaginal delivery and sterile vaginal exams
Requirements
- 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Current BLS certification
- NRP certification
- AWHONN Beginner or Intermediate certification
- Active OK RN license or Compact License
- Charting experience with Epic
- Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred

- Bed count: 461
- Patient ratios: 1:1 on nights and weekends
