$2,329 to $2,526 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.
Schedule
- Shift: Nights, 3x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Patient ratios: 1-2 on nights and weekends
Responsibilities & Skills
- Labor & Delivery procedures (vaginal delivery, cesarean section, forceps/vacuum extraction, high-risk delivery assistance)
- Fetal monitoring (EFM, external/internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement/calibration, amnioinfusion)
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- IV therapy (starting/maintaining IVs, infusion pumps, drips, IV monitoring)
- Medication administration (antihypertensives, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline)
- Neonatal care (APGAR scores, neonatal resuscitation, radiant warmers/thermoregulation, newborn assessment, hypoglycemia management, infant identification/security banding)
- Postpartum care (fundus/lochia/perineum care, hemorrhage/shock management, couplet care, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension)
- Pain management (epidural anesthesia, general anesthesia, IV conscious sedation, opioids, nitrous oxide, pain assessment)
- Breastfeeding/lactation support (electric/manual breast pumps, lactation assistance)
- Catheter insertion/management (Foley catheters)
- Wound assessment/care, bladder distension management
- Phlebotomy (venous blood draws)
- Charting in Epic system
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
- Active CT license or Compact License
- Certifications: BLS, NRP
