Pay

$2,205 to $2,398 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.

Schedule

  • 13-week assignment
  • Night shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
  • Start date: September 14, 2026

  • Amnioinfusion
  • Antepartum care
  • Anticoagulation therapy
  • Antihypertensive and antiseizure medication management
  • APGAR scoring
  • Assisting with high-risk deliveries and sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
  • Assisting with vaginal deliveries
  • Baby-friendly protocols and neonatal care ("Baby Catcher")
  • Bladder distension management
  • Cesarean section (circulating and recovery)
  • Drawing venous blood
  • Epidural anesthesia management
  • Episiotomy and incisional care
  • Foley catheter insertion and management
  • Forceps and vacuum extraction assistance
  • Fundus, lochia, and perineum care
  • General anesthesia management
  • Hemorrhage and shock management
  • High-risk antepartum care
  • Infant identification and security banding
  • Insulin drip management
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Isolation precautions and PPE
  • IV conscious sedation
  • Labor and delivery management
  • Magnesium sulfate therapy
  • Management of multiple births
  • Neonatal resuscitation
  • Newborn hypoglycemia management

  • Pre-eclampsia and eclampsia management
  • Premature rupture of membranes and preterm labor management
  • Radiant warmers and thermoregulation
  • Pitocin (oxytocin) administration
  • Postpartum hemorrhage management
  • Pregnancy-induced hypertension management
  • Prostaglandin administration
  • Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
  • Reflex checks, edema assessment, and clonus evaluation
  • Starting and maintaining IVs
  • Terbutaline administration
  • Thermoregulation management
  • Use of external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
  • Use of electric/manual breast pumps
  • Use of internal fetal monitoring and IUPC (intrauterine pressure catheter) placement/calibration
  • Use of infusion pumps, drips, and IV monitoring
  • Use of PCA (IV) for pain management
  • Use of rapid response/code teams
  • Vaginal delivery assistance
  • Wound assessment and care
  • Substance abuse screening and management
  • VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) management and trial of labor

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate
  • Licensure: Active PA state license or Compact License
  • Charting system: Epic experience required
