About the role

This is a 13-week assignment with night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) on a 3x12-hour schedule. The facility uses Epic for charting and has a bed count of 97.

• Administration of blood & blood products
• Amnioinfusion
• Antepartum care
• Administration of antihypertensives
• Assist with circumcision and post-op site assessment
• Assist with vaginal delivery
• Baby-friendly protocols and breastfeeding/lactation support
• Car seat education
• Cesarean section (circulate and recover)
• Collect cord samples and cord care
• Couplet care
• Dilation and curettage (D & C)
• Discharge teaching to parents
• Drawing venous blood
• Epidural anesthesia management
• Episiotomy and incisional care
• Foley catheter insertion and management
• Forceps/vacuum extraction
• Fundus, lochia, and perineum care
• General anesthesia management
• Hemorrhage and shock management
• Infant identification and security banding
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum (LDRP) care
• Level I nursery experience
• Magnesium sulfate therapy
• Metabolic screening
• Mother/baby care for multiple births
• Newborn assessment and hypoglycemia management
• Non-stress tests (NST)
• Pain assessment and management
• Phototherapy
• Pitocin (oxytocin) administration
• Postpartum hemorrhage management
• Pregnancy-induced hypertension and bladder distension care
• Community-level experience with facilities handling <100 births/month
• Opioid administration
• Triage of obstetrical patients
• Use of electric/manual breast pumps
• Vaccine administration
• Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Reflex checks, edema assessment, and clonus evaluation
• Spiral electrode placement
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Sterile vaginal exams
• Teaching circumcision care to parents
• Terbutaline administration
• Thermoregulation management
• Tubal ligation assistance
• Use of external fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Use of infusion pumps, drips, and IV monitoring
• Use of internal fetal monitoring
• Intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration
• Use of patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
• Vaginal delivery assistance
• Wound assessment and care

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
• BLS and NRP certifications
• Active MO license or Compact License (quick application process, typically 2 weeks or less)

Pay

$2,026 to $2,251 weekly. Pay includes taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.

Schedule

3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00) for 13 weeks. Assignment starts on 09/14/2026.
