Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $4,036 per week

About the role

Trustaff Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting July 27, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and administering contrast agents
• Operate imaging equipment to capture images and monitor patient responses
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records
• Ensure sterile technique and safety protocols are followed
• Communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare team members
• Participate in continuing education modules related to EMR (Cerner)

Requirements

• MUST HAVE TO SUBMIT TO CLIENT: AL License or Compact License required
• 1-2 Evaluations Facility Details: $95 must wait 6 months before returning
• If Candidate traveled with another agency - must wait 6 months before applying through Fastaff
• RNs will have Continuing Education Modules they are responsible for keeping up on during assignment
• Parking: Is signed up for during onboarding (orientation week) – it is paid by the traveler and ranges from $14 – $58.34 per month
• Travelers are provided the contact information to sign up for their choice based on availability
• EMR: Cerner
• Scrubs: Navy
• Block scheduling Fri-Mon available upon request
• Every other weekend is required if not working weekend block sched
• Need coverage over Christmas as a priority. Not required to work every holiday

• Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Experience with Cerner EMR system
• Knowledge of sterile technique and safety protocols

Pay

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, days, with a 48-hour workweek. On-call responsibilities include approximately 6-8 days per month, with a 3-day weekend requirement.
