About the role
CrossMed is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a position in Farmington, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and applying sterile drapes.
- Operate imaging equipment to capture necessary images during procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Ensure proper disposal of medical waste and sterilization of equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state license as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a formal training program in interventional radiology technology.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to follow complex procedures and protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency with medical imaging equipment.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong organizational skills.
Pay
The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
