About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting on August 3, 2026, in Portland, Maine.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
  • Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures, including positioning and immobilization.
  • Operate imaging equipment to capture accurate images for diagnostic and procedural purposes.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and other necessary medications as directed by the physician.
  • Ensure sterile technique during procedures to minimize infection risk.
  • Document patient data accurately and maintain detailed records of procedures performed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in the state of Maine.
  • Experience in performing interventional radiology procedures.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient care guidelines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Completion of an accredited interventional radiology technology program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in interventional radiology technology.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Pay

The pay package is based on a 10-hour shift and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Shifts will be 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
