About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting on August 3, 2026, in Portland, Maine.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures, including positioning and immobilization.
- Operate imaging equipment to capture accurate images for diagnostic and procedural purposes.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and other necessary medications as directed by the physician.
- Ensure sterile technique during procedures to minimize infection risk.
- Document patient data accurately and maintain detailed records of procedures performed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in the state of Maine.
- Experience in performing interventional radiology procedures.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Completion of an accredited interventional radiology technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in interventional radiology technology.

Pay
The pay package is based on a 10-hour shift and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shifts will be 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
