Travel Interventional Radiology Technician - $2,917 per week
Description
Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
PM shift, three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
On-call required every 4th weekend and one day per week
Patient cases include complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures
Uses floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines, power injectors for iodinated contrast media, and Sectra/PACS imaging system
EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist
- Active NJ radiographic licensure required (license required if applicable)
- Current ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification from an American Heart Association-accredited program with skills demonstration
- High school diploma/GED and associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program
- Proficiency with fluoroscopic modalities, power contrast injection devices, and PACS systems
- Ability to scrub and assist proceduralists during complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases
- Strong sterile technique and infection prevention practices
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
Scrub side-by-side with specialty proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
Responsibilities include circulating and retrieving complex interventional products, operating power injectors, maintaining sterile procedural trays, and performing groin management post-intervention
Collaborates within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
Must apply closed-loop communication skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
